Since its inception more than 36 years ago, the primary objective of the County of Chautauqua Industrial Development Agency (CCIDA) has been to position the county as an outstanding environment for both large and small businesses to locate or expand.  An excellent educated workforce coupled with an exceptional quality-of-life experience makes Chautauqua County an attractive location.  Working closely with the Chautauqua County Department of Planning & Economic Development, various local and regional economic development entities, and New York State's Empire State Development, the CCIDA is the principal force attracting new business and industry to the area.  From financial incentives and low interest loans to infrastructure and industrial park development, the CCIDA helps new and existing businesses create and retain jobs. These efforts enhance the county's economic picture resulting in increased employment, a greater infusion of capital into the local economy, and an increased tax base.
